The sushi was excellent! Very, very tasty, everything was fresh and there were very cool sushis to choose from in the menu. The other dishes were also delicious, the drinks were a bit expensive. Would come again

The best Asian restaurant in the Lörrach district. Great sushi selection, great dishes, great drinks, beautiful dishes and very good service. In summer with a lounge and a great view of the Rhine.

Surprisingly good! The place has recently had a change of management/ownership, prior to that, I had never found enough interest to visit. I was invited by someone who had been both to the old and the new, and who loved it now. Our waitress was friendly and courteous but somewhat in a hurry. The food came quickly and was quite tasty, but the chicken was a little dry and overcooked. Portion sizes were great and pricing was reasonable. The views of the Rhein definitely made for a pleasant dining experience.

If you have even a bit of self-respect, you should avoid this restaurant. Food is inedible and the service is incredibly rude. Please don't do this to yourself and find another restaurant. There are tons of other restaurants nearby and such poor service as this is hard to beat.

Long waiting times I have certainly waited over 30 minutes. There are better sushi and the quality is not the best. Very expensive in terms of price!

Finally Vietnamese cuisine ?that is the healthiest cuisine ... not as much fat and sugar as Chinese food, absolutely recommendable ?

Absolutely impressed! Authentic Vietnamese food à la carte, as well as sushi. The duck was extremely crispy, the sauces well seasoned (not too salty, just perfect) and everything was very classy. The service was very friendly and the homemade drinks were great. The drinks and the food were there after a short time. Of course, quality has its price. We will definitely be back and would be happy to recommend Mai Garden.

The food was really very good and the prices more than reasonable. But waiting 30 minutes for drinks and an hour for food is very bad. I asked several times where our food was going, and when the bill came at the end, I was told that this wasn't a fast food restaurant, which was very cheeky. I mean, I would have had a short chat with the owner when we arrived and he was very nice, if that was really the owner. I think with enough and professional staff it would be wonderful, so we'll try it again in a few months and hope that the service will match the restaurant.

Duck with rice and vegetables, chicken with rice and red sauce, spring rolls and summer rolls ordered. the chicken was specially prepared for the sauce, was a whole / large piece and had brown spots. strange taste also for the duck / tasted strange, only the rice was ok. 50.- € totally not even a third eaten, a shame.

Not recommended, after 45 minutes we were finally allowed to order the drinks, they came to the table after about 20 minutes. We were allowed to order the food there. After about another 45 minutes, what felt like 2 hours, we got our food. The food was served across the table, they are not even able to serve everyone's food properly. The staff is not very friendly, you should definitely work on that. As well as hire a decent cook ... who can cook too. We just ate it because we waited a long time for it. But absolutely not worth the money. Unfortunately, I have to award a star here, which I give to the great atmosphere, namely the Rhine and the great view towards Alsace.

Very nice restaurant, food was also very good, but the shift supervisor cannot be beat for unfriendliness. Polite question about the ashtray was answered with yes yes yes Became a used half full ashtray. Table cleared without comment, no question whether it tasted absolutely nothing. The big hit came with the bill. The waiter asked "us" several times for the final price, so he asked us how much tip we would give. An absolute no go

New management, new style, just magnificent setting, excellent Asian cuisine with taste, flavors and above all the desire to return to discover the entire menu I recommend

Mainly Vietnamese cuisine. Plus sushi. Great ambience. Probably one of the most beautiful places in the otherwise rather ugly Weil am Rhein. Not cheap but very tasty. The boss is a little unsympathetic, but everyone else is very nice;)

It's good that the old china restaurant is finally gone. The new restaurant, with a new owner, specializes in Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese cuisine. the dishes are freshly prepared and really taste very good. The selection of the card is varied but not too overloaded. I also really liked the house drinks, especially the non-alcoholic cocktails and thirst quenchers. the restaurant is very clean, the toilets perfect. the staff adheres to the Corona hygiene regulations, everything is clean and disinfected. The view of the Rhine is stunning and gives the visit a cozy atmosphere

The food was great and everything was ok in terms of hygiene. According to the latest information, the restaurant owner has changed. Otherwise the staff were very nice.

Super restaurant were there very often. Sometimes with sometimes without reservation. With family or colleagues, great service, friendly staff, good selection of food and much more. Price performance super + !! To recommend only.

Some very unfair negative reviews below. Good quality food, lots of choice with fresh amounts being brought out regularly. Lots of meat in the dishes on the buffet not just vegetable 'filler'. Excellent sushi.

Wonderful view, delicious food and good service

We were served very friendly and we found the food delicious. The order was quickly taken and drinks and food served promptly. We had duck and fried pork with vegetables. The portions were large enough and we were satisfied. We got a nice table for two without having to make reservations beforehand. We cannot confirm the bad reviews here.

The food is very tasty and you have lots of options, also vegetarian. Yes, the service is not very friendly and we also had discussions about the children. The restaurant was full (Saturday evening) and we left very early.

Very bad and poor quality Buffet. “ a la carte” food is much better BUT the waiters are arrogant, pretending they are working in a 5 stars restaurant, witch is obviously is not the case. Instead of giving a good service, The waiters usually don’t have a good mood and I was given false money back ( not EU coins). They didn’t apologize. I won’t go again.

Never thought I would be eating at a Chinese Buffet on my trip to Europe! The food was very good and the price was pretty awesome too!

Have a nice lunch on the terrace. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. The waiter did his job well and was courteous. The dishes (à la carte) are tasty and fresh and generous portions. All at very good price. You have to speak German, however, in order to be understood. I recommend.

BAD! After eating here I was sick for four days. The staff works hard but could be a bit more friendly!

Very good price for the buffet.

The quality of choice and food was incredibly poor. From tough, old dessert items to tasteless items on the buffet. Most of the possibilities were bland, nasty or generally lacking. While entering we were presented with no menucard or other information. On their site they parade around with one price while in reality the difference is made between times of the day. We can understand that, after some more research, we can find this information but the staff decided to: 1. Be rude and try to rush me out of the way when I asked about this. 2. Act as if I were a child not understanding how to read. 3. Laugh in my face after stating: ‘Sorry. No English!’ Incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend anyone to go here. Instead I would suggest to find a different restaurant that serves proper quality of food for the price of €20,90.

If we are close, we have always been happy to go for lunch at noon and benefit from the great buffet. The selection is huge and that at a price of its peers seeks. The staff is always very "stressed" but which is also understandable in this crowd on the customers at the lunch "storm".
